Easy- The ideal trip for those who like to take their time out
on the road and not over-stretch things. Distances will depend
on terrain, but expect to cover around 60km (35-40 miles) per day on flat and rolling roads, with plenty of time to stop off along the way. Great for beginners and intermediate riders.
An easy grade. Slightly tougher than our easiest tours but not quite a Grade 2. Rolling routes with occasional minor challenges. Distances up to 75 km per day.
Medium - Designed to appeal to occasional riders wishing to
gain a little more experience, these trips are a natural progression from our introductory weekends, attainable for novices and yet still interesting for regular riders. These tours are often rolling, but with the occasional hill thrown in, distances average around 60-75km (40-45 miles) per day, although the terrain and conditions will determine schedules.
A moderately difficult tour somewhere slightly tougher than a Grade 2 but not as difficult as Grade 3. Average distances around 70-90 km with occasional challenging climbs.
Moderate - If you ride regularly at weekends, or more, then our Grade 3 trips should prove fun and challenging. Distances average around 70-85kms (40-50 miles) per day, depending on the terrain.Some challenging climbs are often thrown in too.
Moderate to Challenging. For more regular riders who like to push themselves a little from time to time. Not extreme but certainly challenging on occasions with some good climbing opportunities. Distances between 80-120km per day
Challenging - Challenging routes for the more serious rider, attainable also for fit weekend riders. On these trips you can expect distances of around 80-120kms (50-75 miles)per day, depending on the amount of climbing involved. These tours contain at least one major climb in the daily route.
A challenging ride with a level of difficulty somehwere between Grades 4 & 5. Not quite as tough as our most challenging tours but will feature long disctances upwards of 100 km per day and will include a number of tough climbs
Demanding. Our toughest and most challenging tours to test even the most serious amateur riders. Long days in demanding mountainous terrain. Will include a number of tough climbs and some long and technical descents.
